Shipping Information

At The Sleep Shoppe, we strive to make the shipping process a breeze. We even offer FREE expedited shipping via Golden State Overnight on all accessory orders of in-stock merchandise (certain types of sheets, pillows, etc.) for our customers in the state of California. 

Many of the mattresses we carry are made to order, meaning that they aren't sitting in a warehouse collecting dust until you buy them, but they are actually manufactured (here in the United States) when you click order. Because of this, the manufacturers usually take 7-10 days to build your mattress, and then we ship it out to you from there. This is not the case on some of the memory foam mattresses we carry, which are “roll-packed” and come in a box, but those are the minority of what we carry. Most high end mattresses are too dense and too heavy to be capable of being packaged this way.

Regardless of what you are buying, or how it is packaged, rest assured - we will always pay your shipping charges :)

Easy Returns & Exchanges

This looks long and complicated – Don’t worry, it isn’t as bad as it seems. Each brand has a different policy regarding returns and/or exchanges. We honor each company’s policy, so that you aren’t stuck paying more than you have to. As a result, everything is listed in detail below. Don’t let it overwhelm you!

ACCESSORIES

Pillows, Sheets, Mattress Covers and Bedframes are returnable within 30 days of the original purchase date as long as the packaging is still sealed. We do not sell any used items, and therefore will only accept returns on sealed merchandise that is in saleable condition. Once an item has been opened or removed from its original packaging it is no longer eligible for a return.

MATTRESSES

Many of the mattresses we sell come with a trial period, during which you may make an exchange for a different mattress based on comfort reasons. These trial periods vary based on the manufacturer of the mattress, and are outlined below. If you have any questions about this, please ask your sales associate.

TEMPUR-PEDIC, SEALY OPTIMUM &

POSTUREPEDIC HYBRIDS, and STEARNS & FOSTER

When purchasing one of the mattresses above, these manufacturers allow you to make a one-time exchange of their mattresses within 90 days of delivery. They require you to try it for at least 30 days, and a fee of $199 per mattress is assessed on each of their mattresses that you choose to exchange. When exchanging one of these mattresses, you are free to pick out any other mattress in our store of your choosing. Tempur-Pedic pillows and mattress protectors cannot be returned or exchanged, and any promotional items included at the time of sale must be paid for by the customer before these companies will authorize an exchange.

BEAUTYREST MEMORY FOAM & HYBRIDS

When purchasing one of the Beautyrest mattresses above, these manufacturers allow you to make a one-time exchange of their mattresses within 120 days of delivery. They require you to try it for at least 30 days, and a fee of $199 per mattress is assessed on each of their mattresses that you choose to exchange. When exchanging one of these mattresses, you are free to pick out any other mattress in our store of your choosing.

SERTA iCOMFORT & iSERIES

When purchasing an iComfort or iSeries mattress, Serta will allow you to make a one-time exchange of their mattresses within 120 days of delivery. They require you to try it for at least 30 days, and a fee of $199 per mattress is assessed on each of their mattresses that you choose to exchange. When exchanging one of these mattresses, you must choose another mattress made by Serta.

BERKELEY ERGONOMICS

Berkeley Ergonomics mattresses are designed to be adjustable over the years to continue to provide you with the support and comfort you need as your body changes. As a result, all of their components are changeable, and you can purchase different components for them in the years to come. If after sleeping on your mattress for 30 days you feel that it is not the correct firmness for your body, you can exchange the internal components within the first 90 days of delivery for a flat fee of $199 per component, plus any increase in cost of that particular component (if applicable). Berkeley Ergonomics mattresses, adjustable slat bases, toppers, and top of bed products are not returnable or exchangeable.

ALL OTHER MATTRESSES

The Sleep Shoppe offers a 90 day comfort guarantee on any premium level mattresses. If after sleeping on your new mattress for 30 days you are not satisfied with it for any reason, we will allow you to make a one-time exchange within the first 90 days of your delivery for a mattress of equal value or greater. There will be a comfort exchange fee of 15% plus a delivery charge (if applicable) against the amount of sale from the original mattress set purchase.

Because every mattress requires a break-in period before it reaches the comfort level it will remain at for the rest of its lifespan, no exchanges will be made before the required 30 day trial period has elapsed. Under no circumstances will an exchange be made on a mattress where any tags or labels have been removed, or on a mattress that is stained, soiled, or damaged in any way.

****IMPORTANT****

Under no circumstances will a return or exchange be allowed on any adjustable bed bases, headboards or furniture of any kind, mattresses that have had their tags or labels removed, or stained, soiled, or damaged merchandise. This includes any damages that are incurred during transportation to our warehouse. Any exchanges that need to be made as a result of ordering the incorrect size (King instead of Cal King, Full instead of Queen, etc.) will also be subject to the above policies and fees. All returned merchandise (including mattresses) will need to be returned to our warehouse, and the cost of transportation or shipping charges on any returned items will be the responsibility of the customer.
